Why Hideroom exists.
Hideroom started with one question: where do you keep the photos and papers you can’t afford to lose, or to have seen? Apple’s Hidden album opens with your phone’s passcode. Losing photos is the top complaint in vault-app reviews, followed by paywalls that hold them hostage.
So Hideroom works the other way round: every room is encrypted on your phone, backed up to your own iCloud where only you can open it, and checked so you can see the backup works. There’s no account and no ads, and export is always free. Hideroom is made by Stratus Research Limited in the UK.
